A gentle documentation of the moments before your baby arrives.

A chance to honour these final days before meeting your baby. With just one roll of film, every frame is thoughtfully considered, creating a collection that feels honest, slow and intentional.
Before the session, we'll chat about your level of comfort. Alongside documenting some moments with you, your partner or little one, I will spend time focusing on the details and beauty of your bump and body. Highlighting the shapes and marks that come with pregnancy. Curating an artful collection, in celebration of what your body has achieved.
These sessions are perfect for expecting parents, whether together or solo, or for mothers wanting to preserve the final chapter with their first-born before welcoming a new sibling.

Growing families deserve to be documented over time.

If you'd like to document both pregnancy and those foggy, special first weeks with your baby, this offering includes two visits to your home.
The first is a chance to slow down and honour your pregnancy, documenting your body, in waiting, and this moment in time before everything shifts. The second visit, once your baby has arrived, will document more in-depth the early days of settling into the slower rhythm of life, at home while you navigate parenthood for the first time or are welcoming another child into your growing family.

FAQ

How far do you travel?
I service Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and parts of the Surf Coast. I’m based in Barwon Heads and generally travel up to around an hour from home.
A travel fee may apply for locations further than 30km from Barwon Heads, but feel free to get in touch with your location and I can let you know.
What is the process for booking?
Start by sending me an enquiry. From there, we can chat via email, message or even jump on a short call to talk through your hopes for the session, what to expect and answer any questions you might have.
Once we’ve found a date and time that works, a deposit is required to secure your booking.
What is 35mm film?
All sessions are photographed on 35mm film.
Once your session is complete, the film is sent to the team at Ikigai to be developed and scanned. The images are then sent back to me digitally, where I make any final, minimal tweaks before delivering them to you.
How do I receive my images?
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive an email with a link to view and download your images. Turnaround time is usually around two weeks from your session.
I recommend downloading the high-resolution files and saving a copy of your full gallery somewhere safe, whether that’s cloud storage or an external hard drive.
Outdoors & Weather
Location sessions can be a little harder to rely on during winter, so for this time of year, at home sessions are often preferred or indoor option as a backup in case the weather isn’t on our side.
Sun isn’t a necessity, but good natural light is important. Before your session, I’ll work with you to get an understanding of which areas of your home receive the best light and what time of day might work best.
If you have concerns about the lighting in your home, we can talk it through beforehand and work out how to make the space work
What if illness strikes our house?
Unfortunately, illness is pretty inevitable when you have young children, and I completely understand that things can change at the last minute.
If someone in your household is unwell, I’d much rather reschedule for a time when everyone is feeling better. The same goes for me, if I’m unwell. I won’t risk bringing anything into your home or spreading it to your family.
Let me know in the days prior, we can play it by ear or simply find another date that works.

Behind Blos

Hello, I'm Hannah, mother of two young children.
Our family made a big move to the Bellarine peninsula late 2025, just as I started Blos and have loved exploring this beautiful part of the world, whilst meeting and photographing fun local families.
